 (CRS)/ Cashier Cum Customer Assistant  

A Cashier cum Customer Assistant (CRS) role combines the responsibilities of a cashier with those of a customer service representative. This dual role involves processing transactions, handling payments, and providing excellent customer service, including addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience for customers. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing Transactions:Accurately handling cash, credit, and debit card payments, issuing receipts, and balancing cash registers. 
  • Customer Service:Greeting customers, providing product information, assisting with inquiries, and resolving complaints. 
  • Maintaining the Workspace:Ensuring the cashier area is clean, organized, and well-stocked. 
  • Order Taking and Management:In some cases, this role may involve taking orders, particularly in food service or retail environments. 
  • Communication:Effectively communicating with customers, both in person and potentially over the phone, and escalating issues to management when necessary.
